Primary Objectives

  • To offer consultation to churches wanting to reach all generations by creating and incorporating innovative music and arts into worship.
  • To offer churches music and other worship resources written by independent Christian artists whose texts reflect progressive theology.
  • To create a connecting point and outlet for Christian musicians whose lyrics reflect progressive theology.

 

 

Rev. Jill K. Warner, director of Tributaries of Faith, is pastor, teacher, musician, and composer. She holds a BA in Music Education from The College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN and a MDiv from from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, New Brighton, MN.

Our Ministries

Tributaries of Faith is a ministry dedicated to the revitalization of main-line worship through creative use of the arts, most especially music. After listening to the needs of colleagues across the country, we have set certain priorities in our time commitments.

We unapologetically offer resources containing, and artists committed to:

  • Inclusive, welcoming language.
  • Theology which celebrates God's Grace and the sacredness of humanity and the earth as God's good creations, all the while acknowledging the very real struggle of the human existence.
  • A multiplicity of artistic genres from a variety of cultures.

For Church Leaders...

  • We offer workshops by a variety of artists and worship leaders on song-leader training, use of drums in worship, worship bands for the mainline, new worship music, technology in worship, and more.
  • We help you find new worship music, Power-Point resource, Christmas pageants, cantatas, etc.
  • We offer music and other worship suggestions based on the Revised Common Lectionary, with plenty of time for you to plan and prepare for worship. You'll find suggestions by our own participating artists as well as traditional resources and other favorites.
  • We keep you informed of new and favorite independent artists and composers, and offer links to their own web sites.

For Musicians...

  • We promote your music through workshops, lectionary music listings, printed resources, and our web site.
  • We distribute your CDs, printed music and other merchandise on a consignment basis.
  • We transcibe music and coordinate printing. (contact us to find out about our hourly rates)
